Messages and team conversations

Captain HQ messages help teams keep match updates, lineup notes, and captain announcements in one place.

Broadcasts

A broadcast is a one-way captain announcement sent to a team or group. Reply options may be limited compared with a normal conversation.

Use broadcasts for updates everyone should see, such as lineup posts, rain plans, or schedule reminders.

Direct messages

A direct message is a private conversation between you and one other person. It is best for questions or details that do not need the whole team.

Examples include availability clarification, contact updates, or a quick captain-player follow-up.

Group conversations

A group conversation includes several people in one thread. Everyone in the group can see the messages.

Use groups for a doubles pair, carpool, sub discussion, or any smaller set of teammates.

Team channels

A team channel is a shared conversation for teammates on the same team. It is useful for updates that everyone should see and discuss.

Use the team channel for general team coordination, match reminders, and season-wide notes.
